Community Scavenger Hunt
Rules
The Hopewell Public Library’s Community Scavenger Hunt
will run for three weeks beginning on Monday, August 6.
The Scavenger Hunt is open to teams. A team can consist of family units,
groups of friends, or a parent/guardian and child.
Parents are encouraged to join in the fun!
From this point forward "you" will mean the participating team.
For the first week beginning Monday, August 6, you will receive a list of items that must be found and brought to the library by Thursday, August 9th during library hours.
The librarian will check the list to see if you have found each of the required items and then will immediately return them to you.
The second week of the Scavenger Hunt will start on Monday, August 13. You will have until Thursday, August 16th to provide proof that all of the items included on the list have been found by returning to the library for check-in.
The third week of the Scavenger Hunt will begin on Monday, August 20. You will have until Thursday, August 23 to find all of the items on the list. Again, return to the library for check-in.
The second list of items will be more challenging than the first and the third list will be more challenging than the second.
You may join on a week by week basis; however, you may only hunt for the items on the current week's list.
Upon successful completion of the current week’s hunt, you will receive one completion certificate congratulating you on your fine detective skills; and, your team's name will be placed in a drawing for an
$80.00 gift certificate at the Hopewell Bistro.
Each team's completed list will earn one chance in the drawing.
One entry per team per week = one chance in the drawing for a maximum 3 chances per team.
There will be one prize for the Scavenger Hunt to be awarded by drawing, for the Hopewell Bistro gift certificate.
The drawing will be held at the Library on Friday, August 24th, 2007 at 1:00 p.m.
The library reserves the right to deny permission to teams it deems in need of parental supervision, and/or will request written parental permission.
A team must consist of 2 or more persons.
