Introduction:

Accessing the HPL Catalog or Your HPL Account:

• Click on the “Catalog” link on the HPL website Home Page (www.redlibrary.org).

Searching the Catalog does NOT require you to “login”:

• Click on the pull-down arrow just to right of window that contains "Library Catalog" and select: “Title”, “Author”, or “Subject”
• Then enter a “search” term (word/phrase) in the “Search” window and click “Go”.

• Click on the Title of the book/item that interests you for more details.

Placing a Hold:

• Locate the item of interest in the Catalog, if this has not already been done.
  
• Click on the “Place Hold” link.
• If not already "logged in", you will be asked to "Login" (username & password).
  

Logging in:

• Username: enter the first letter of your first name and your last name with nospace, for example: jdoe for John Doe or Jane Doe.
  
• Enter your password (the last four digits of your HPL Card or the password you have chosen).
  
• Click “Log In”.

• REMEMBER: “Log Out”, when you are done!
