HPL 2010 SUMMER READING PROGRAM

SUMMER READING PROGRAM

"MAKE A SPLASH- READ"

at the

HOPEWELL PUBLIC LIBRARY

Registration begins on Friday, June 25th.

Stop by after the last day of school to register for the Summer program at 1:30pm and meet author Lisa Mullarkey for a story and craft activity.

Decide with the Librarian how many books you'll read and sign a contract. You'll receive a logbook to record the title of the books you have read. Everyone who completes their contract will be invited to a final party where certificates and prizes will be awarded.

This summer we will offer:

  • Story time for ages 2-5 on Mondays at 10:30

  • Craft Wednesdays at 2pm-featuring art projects based on this summer's "watery" theme.

  • Thursday evenings at 7pm: Teen Book Group- this gathering will feature book titles on the School District summer Reading list for grades 6 and up. Get a head start on your required reading!

  • Saturday Story for ages 6 and up, at noon. Come enjoy the cool air and hear classic tales from around the world.

Special events include-

  • Nature by the Yard with Pam Newitt on July 12th at 10:15 am

  • Exploring Bedens Brook at Gazebo Park with Watershed naturalist Jeff Hoagland on August 2nd at 10:15

It's all FREE!!
